Newly graduated first year scouts:  Are you still needing to get to 1st Class rank?

Mr. Westphal  is on to guiding a new class of first year scouts and has handed off the chart to us!

Attention Star Scouts: Get EDGE credit teaching first year rank requirements to others.

Posted by bheldke on Apr 10 2018 - 11:25am

Star Scouts, your Life Rank requirement #6 requires you to use the EDGE method to teach another scout from one of following:

  • Tenderfoot 4a and B--show first aid, describe common poisonous plants
  • 2nd Class 2B-D--cooking and fire (reserve for campouts)
  • 2nd Class 3A and D--compass and finding your way without a compass
  • First Class 3A-D--lashings
  • First Class 4A-B--orienteering (this will take longer, so reserve for a campout)
  • Second Class 6A-B--first aid
  • First Class 7A-B--first aid
  • Three requirements from one of the required eagle merit badges, as approved by the scoutmaster

If you would like to participate please see Mr. Heldke or Mr. Kadesch at the front table between 7:00 and 7:30 prior to the meetings.  This will last until the final meeting of the school year.

Service Hours Opportunity

The Plymouth YMCA is looking for scorekeepers and hall monitors for their community basketball games. There are several locations on Friday evenings. This is an easy way to interact with the YMCA families and serve in a leadership role in our community! You can choose your Class A or Class B uniform to promote our troop and be visible in the community.
